5 Things

5.) Reign of Blood series by Alexia Purdy. Because Zompires! Seriously, I love action movies with Kick Ass heroines!

4.) Unbound series by Emily Goodwin. You totally thought I was going to say Contagious didn’t you? While I would love to see Contagious on the screen I think I’d rather it be a mini-series or a TV show. Something a little more drawn out. I would LOVE to see Unbound and all of the GL on the big screen. The whole series is creepy!

3.) The Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi! Warner! Juliette! Plus actually seeing Adam get hurt on screen would be very satisfying.

2.) The ASHES trilogy by Ilsa J. Blick. It’s scary, it’s mental, and it’s disgusting. Plus Alex, Tom and Chris!!!

1.) The Angelfall series by Susan Ee. RAFFE.

Ooh! I’m pretty much in love with Lori’s list! I found this week’s Five Things really hard. It feels like every movie I go to see at the theaters these days says it was based on a book.

5) Contagious by Emily Goodwin. Yep, I went there. While Lori’s thinking mini-series, I’m think that the four books can be spread out into eight full length movies. I like to think big.
It must say something about an author’s writing when two of her books end up on our top 5 lists (you’d think she was bribing us, or something… 😉 )

4) City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. Yes, I’m aware this was already a movie, but I think they screwed it up horribly and I want a redo!

3) The Oathbreaker’s Shadow by Amy McCulloch. This book blew me away and I imagine with some stellar special effects, the movie would be just as glorious.

2) The Tea Rose by Jennifer Donnelly. I’m a total sucker for a sweeping historical romance (I know, it’s hard to imagine, what with me reviewing horror novels and movies, but I swear it’s true). It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, and this book drove me out of my mind with all of the missed connections, and misconceptions.

1) Enclave by Ann Aguirre. Zombies in dark, enclosed spaces. *shivers*

My list is in no particular order – but there are so many more that I would love to be made into movies, so I had to narrow it down of course.

5.) Deer In Headlights by Staci Hart. (And the rest of the Good Gods series of course.) I would love to see these stories brought to life on the big screen. Because just romance, and mythology! Duh.

4.) Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. I love the whole concept of this series, the 10 deadly sins are PEOPLE. Wendy’s beautiful writing and character development would shine,

3.) Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Because…DAEMON BLACK. The End. #NuffSaid

2.) The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Out of all the zombie books I’ve read this series still remains my all time favorite.

1.) Dark Secrets by A.M. Hudson. The character development in this series is to die for, and the story that she spins is absolutely magnificent. I hope one day it becomes a movie, or even a TV series.
