Seriously, if you haven’t watched it by now, then you deserve to have it spoiled for you. But in any event. Spoilers and shit.
Lori: Jon Snow. #SnowBoner
Can we, just for a moment…
Elyse: I cheered for sure. But then this happened.
Elyse: And he smiled. And my heart cried for him. If Ygritte hadn’t have been killed by Olly – Jon Snow would be dead. She hesitated and that was it she would have loosed that arrow right into his chest. There’s no way she would have let the Crows take her prisoner, because she knew Jon wouldn’t have killed her.
Lindsay: No way. There’s no way she could have killed him. They would have run off into the sunset, and lived happily ever after, and had little wildling babies. But for some reason, I don’t think happy endings are George R.R. Martin’s style…
Elyse: You clearly haven’t been paying attention to the last 4 seasons. Valar morghulis.
Lori: Who cares? Seriously. That’s ALL you guys got out of this episode. And I thought I was a horrible fangirl.
Anyway the Watchers on the Wall was an AMAZING episode. Which shouldn’t be surprising. GRRM and the show runners know how to write a good story. I loved the camera panning the entire battle from part to part. There was just so much going on!
Highlights: The giant’s arrow hitting that crow!!! Sam’s moment of glory!!! Jon taking the lead!!! Pyp’s death! Grenn holding back the Giant with only five other men!!! Tormund OWNING! I honestly was so engrossed in the episode that I didn’t think about King’s Landing at all.
What were your favorite moments!?
Sorry for the late recap folks. I have had a very off week. We’ll be back on track next Tuesday for the finale!! So excited.
