Surviving the journey is just the beginning.
The last two months have brought nothing but death and destruction for Emma Rossi. She survived the initial zombie outbreak with her husband, Jake, and their dog, Daphne, but the cost was steep: Sanibel has fallen.
In a world where the only constant is change, the group is pushed to their limits before reaching the gates of Asylum, a coastal stronghold in Sarasota, Florida.
Once again, Emma must navigate an apocalyptic wasteland filled with relentless hordes of the undead and other menacing horrors that threaten her survival.
Only thing is certain. No one is safe from what lurks on either side of Asylum's gates. Asylum may offer more than just safety.
Sanity will be tested; and many won't live to tell the tale.
Time of Death: Asylum picks up with our survivors scrambling to survive again. Only this time they want more. They’ve seen that things can be better than merely surviving. Emma continues to be a strong voice in this book. I love her fire and sarcasm.
Unlike most series the zombies are no less terrifying than they were in the first book. They are still pee your pants scary moments throughout. The emotional stakes are so high in this series too. I really connected to all of the characters throughout. I was seriously so mad at one of them. I still am because of their actions in the aftermath of them going to the Asylum.
This book is intense, in such a good way. It was seriously hard to put down. It’s so filled with amazing moments that talking about it in anything but vague terms risks exposing plot lines from both books. If you haven’t had a change and you love zombie fiction then you should definitely pick up the Time of Death series. It’s fast becoming one of my favorites.
